We need to come up with a way to get gas prices to go down! I am sick of paying $3.00 a gallon. There has to be a better way.

Would it help if we invaded and took over Iran/Syria?

No, but it might make me feel better. We need to destroy Opec!

Strangely, the gas has come down almost 20 cents in the last 2 weeks.

Can anyone explain that?

I would agree lower gas prices would be wonderfull. I think the goverment steped in and did something. I heard something about it on the radio, but I'm not sure.

What slays me though is that on the way home, QuikTrip down the road from me had it at $2.71!

I quickly filled up, and drove to go grocery shopping. On the way back home, it's $2.73.

How on Earth does THAT work???

Its a pain isn't it? I usually fill up at the gas station that is more expensive than all of the other ones, because I think it is a good price, the next station I pass after I fill up is almost always cheaper!

I heard that gas is suposed to drop even more after labor day. They said something like 45 a barrel, now that would be awesome!

I can't believe prices have fallen this much!!! I gotta say, though, I hope it continues. Was this government action? :?:

I really doubt Bush had anything to do with this. Unless he authorizes withdrawing oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, there's not much he can do.

Also, congrats on the first multi-page thread on the Twisted Lincoln, Inc. discussion forums! :D

Wow. A brilliant holiday weekend in St. Louis, with even more brilliant gas prices: $2.40 down the street.

Republicans have WAY MORE PROBLEMS at hand - a reprieve on gas prices won't save them.

By the way: $2.25/galllon.

Why did it take so long? Perhaps because the President and Congress have almost no control over gas prices... Unless they release barrels from the Stratigic Oil Reserve, at least.

At least it does not jump $1 overnight. It is fairly steady. I like that.

So is this gas jumping getting annoying to anybody else besides me. To me it seems like one day its below $2 then the next it's up around $2.20.

lol I was just reading over one of the two multipage topics only to see that gas prices are lower than when I first started the thread! YAY! My only complaint is that it took almost 2 years for prices to go back down... sadely it will most likely be right back where it was in a few months.
