Texas lawmakers discuss open file formats bill

Apparently not all polititions are morons: some Texas lawmakers are considering legistlation that would require documents used by state agencies to be saved in a file format with a publically available specification:

I'm sure Microsoft is still crying over the fact that their "open" document format lost out to OpenOffice.org's ODF format...
