:D For a non-linux user this is very nice. Couldn't find a suggestion area so please move this if you have one.

Good idea. Actually, I'm considering removing it altogether in the next version. The "Terminal Server Client" is what you want to connect via RDP, but with the proper backend installed, it will connect via VNC also, so there's really no need to keep the Remote Desktop Client. If you go to Synaptic Package Manger, and install the "xvnc4viewer" package, then Terminal Server Client will be able to connect via VNC. I'm not sure what port it defaults to, but I was able to test it using a VNC server running on Windows 2000, so I assume it uses 3389 also. If not, you can always add your port after the IP (ie: 192.168.0.100:3389)
I did some research regarding the Windows 2003 shares, and it looks to be a known issue upstream. I've read that it may have to do with the authentication, so if it is feasible to share the folders without a password you might try that. If not, many users seem to report that installing "pyNeighborhood" using Synaptic will allow you to browse and connect to such shares, but I have no way of testing this without a Windows 2003 server.
Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We always welcome it, be it positive or not. :D
