We've all been waiting for "the movie" that's going to require us to buy a Blu-Ray player and I had thought that IRON MAN would have been it.  The detail, the special effects, the completely engaging story and outstanding review (via the 2GuysTalking Podcast, right here) made me think that would be "the one."  Of course, with the holidays arriving right around the corner, the prices would surely fall as they always do so I held off.  After having watched "BATMAN BEGINS" on HD-DVD recently with my Mom who'd never seen it, it's clear - this newer incarnation of BATMAN is thee vehicle to take advantage of when talking about high definition movies.

So I ask YOU - is THE DARK KNIGHT, one of the only solid comic book movies ever to be considered in the Academy Award running this year, going to be the movie that makes you get out and take advantage of the great deals to get Blu-Ray?  My finger is on the trigger and I'm waiting to hear what YOU think!

I liked the Dark Knight, but not enough to buy a Blu-Ray player just for its sake.  Iron Man...maybe a bit more, but even that makes me pause.
