Movie Player in Nexradix
I can not get the movie player in Nexradix to work. Any time I try to play a movie I get a message that says it can not read the disk. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
What are you trying to play? If it is a DVD, you need libdvdcss installed in order to play back encrypted DVDs (nearly all of them). Keep in mind this is illegal in the United States due to the oppressive Digital Millennium Copyright Act...
If you are okay with that, you can install it by doing the following:
Install the libdvdread4 package using Synaptic Package Manager (or sudo apt-get install libdvdread4 at the command line). Then run "sudo sh /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh" at the command line to download and install libdvdcss.
