As most people know the Nintendo WII was released Sunday NOV 19 - I was in line to get it. I am happy to say I now own one.. I have got to say at first I wasn't sure if I would like the new "Remotes" but I am happy to say The motion sensing remotes work rather well. I was impressed with the free game that comes with the WII - It is easy for everyone to get the hang of controlling it.. (Tony was even able to use it). I also purchased RedSteel which is a First Person Shooter. I have yet to try the multi player but the 1 player mode is fun - Load time is slightly annoying.
Anyone else out there tried it? or have thoughts on this new gaming system?
I dont know if i would like the remotes but it sounds cool. I am waiting to get PS3 over the summer when they fix all the things with it and i do not have to fear for my life in Purchasing one.
PS3 Looks cool but the price tag is a bit high for me and the whole getting shot trying to get doesn't sound very fun :)
Looks like Nintendo has a small recall:

Not too surprising to me...
I would not call it a small recall!!! Joe good luck with that one. That really sucks since they are trying to compete with PS3 and 360.
No on the contrary it just show how fun the WII is!! It is good advertisement for the WII -- Besides if that is the only recall they have on it, they are not doing too bad.. My unit is subject to the recall I will let you know how the recall goes.
I've thought seriously about a WII purchase, mostly because of the "outside the box" control elements and the pricepoint combined. I've yet to "baptize" Jade my daughter into the game/console realm, but she does love to get online and play with the Elmo Keyboard Game and many of the other gooney yet appropriate games available at
.
The PS3 - good grief - for the price, Brian would be expecting sex along with the special butt-plug controller.
well it seems twistedlincoln is viewable from the Wii!!
Any follow up on the WII over the holidays?
I was talking to more coworkers that have it and it seems to be a solid party supporter too.
I also had the opportunity to see a video of the WII on a MOVIE THEATER SCREEN! Have you seen this yet?

That's outstanding.
The Wii is pretty cool! By the way I got my new wrist straps 4 days after I filled out the recall form.
That was very fast. I would of though it would take 5-7 business days to get it.
